Intelligent PV Parking Lot
An intelligent PV parking lot near the Three Gorges Project was launched recently. The parking lot, designed and built by CTG, is equipped with 500 units of 545W photovoltaic (solar power) panels and serves as a model for solar power utilization. The electricity generated by the solar power canopies during the day is used for the operation of the parking lot and vehicle charging. Extra energy is stored for nighttime lighting.
The project, which has a total installed capacity of 272.5 KW, is expected to generate 400 MWh of green electricity annually, saving about 120.6 tonnes of standard coal and reducing 331.2 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
