The First Rare Plant Breeding and Research Center in the Jinsha River Basin, China
In December 2022, the first Rare Plant Breeding and Research Center in the lower reaches of the Jinsha River was completed—the Xiangxi Rare Botanical Garden. About 200 species of endemic rare resource plants were introduced and planted simultaneously in the Xiangjiaba and Xiluodu reservoir areas.
This is CTG’s first rare plant breeding and research center in the Jinsha River Basin, further advancing CTG’s ongoing efforts in Yangtze River Basin rare plant conservation and contributing to biodiversity preservation.
